Sonya's debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York (not yet confirmed)

It's not official or confirmed, but there is possible that Sonya will be making her debut in the very near future at The Met (Metropolitan Opera, New York) in La Boheme. Hopefully as Mimi.

Let's hope for an official confirmation soon and hopefully for a live worldwide streaming in theaters, as Met uses to.

  3. Thank you. As soon as I gather reliable information I will post it on the blog. I hope it will be as Mimi too and a MET HD stream will boost her career enormously. She's still very young, but she's day by day more appreciated and invited by the biggest opera houses: Vienna Staatsoper,Opera de Monte Carlo,Royal Opera House,Opera de Paris,Opera of San Francisco so far.

  4. She is gorgeous and so aimiable at the same time. I've heard her twice in Hamburg (where I'm working), in LA, in London, in Paris (I went there because of her 4 Hoffmann's heroines and it was worth to do so!) and twice in Vienna. We fell in love with her voice when we heard the Operalia live stream, and from then on I try to follow her whenever possible. Renata Saba (Facebook)

  5. That sounds exciting! If you have and if you want to share some photos from her performances, or reviews, I can post them on the blog. Full credit to you, as I always do with the photos shared here. Tatiana

  7. According to my MET booklet the Mimis scheduled for next season are Kovalewska, Hartig (debut), and Frittoli. Kovalevska last season was a very bad Countess in Nozze, while Frittoli an unconvincing Elisabetta in Don Carlo but she always get asked back to the Met. So maybe Sonya will be singing instead of Kovalevska who is the first cast :))

  8. I actually think Sonya's debut at the MET is scheduled for the 2014-2015 season. This season is already scheduled, so most probably Sonya will hopefully be part of the 2014-2015 season.
